Children at a Lincoln infant school joined more than 15,000 other pupils across England in celebrating the 15th annual World School Milk day.

The global event included more than 30 countries around the world and promotes the importance of drinking milk at school.

Pupils at Nettleham infant school decorated their classrooms with bunting and balloons and participated in milk-related activity books provided by Cool Milk, the UK’s leading supplier of school milk.

Highlight of the day for a lot of the young students was meeting Amoolia the Cool Milk cow.

John Sedgewick, managing director of Cool Milk said: “We believe the introduction of this standard is important as it will mean all school children will be offered a fantastic opportunity to build strong, healthy bones and teeth.”

Celebration educational packs are being provided to 200 schools across the country by Cool Milk.
