Children at a London primary school cooked up a storm to celebrate the publication of a book with recipes from around the world.

With help from their parents and teachers, pupils at Bishop Gilpin Church of England Primary School in Wimbledon produced tasty ideas and photographs for the book, Around the World in Three Terms.

Not only has the book been a hit among the school’s community, but it has also caught the eye of a supermarket chain who are partnering up with the school by selling copies in five of their stores in the borough.

The book includes different sections for each school term, with 150-plus recipes for Christmas, cake sales and picnics included.

Head teacher Matt Ball said: “The book is testament to what can be achieved when the wider community works together.
