New logo for primary school in Kent after six-year-old wins design competition

A school pupil from Kent will be particularly proud to wear their new school uniform this term after designing its new logo.

Six-year-old Brooke Taylor (pictured) of St Mary’s C.E(A) Primary School in Tunstall, had her design chosen after students were asked to come up with ideas for a badge to go with an updated uniform last year.

The winning design involved tributes to the church and the Potteries and was judged by the school’s governors.

Brooke was also rewarded with a family day trip to Legoland.

The year 2 pupil told the Stoke Sentinel: “It was quite hard to design at first. I had a lot of different ideas, including having a star in the logo, but when I drew this design out on a big piece of paper I knew it was the one I wanted to enter.”
