ANALYSIS: GCSE results subject by subject

A smaller percentage of pupils have walked away with A* grades in their GCSEs this year, while the percentage of A grades remains static and proportion of Bs, Cs and Ds is up across the board.

The results published today by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) show interesting trends, including the revelation that English and maths results have improved, while science results have worsened.
