Anne Milton and Robert Goodwill have been appointed as new ministers at the Department for Education in the ongoing reshuffle.
Milton, MP for Guildford and a former health minister, will take the skills and apprenticeships brief previously held by Robert Halfon, who was sacked by Theresa May yesterday.
Goodwill, who represents Scarborough and Whitby and has previously been a transport minister and immigration minister, is understood to be in line to replace children’s minister Edward Timpson, who lost his Crewe and Nantwich seat to Labour last week.
Yet more disasters for education
Slash and burn funding
SEND parents already appalled at pathetic outcomes of last reforms which LAs are ignoring and now 2 more education and training unqualified wannabes
Not one of our education ministers has been fit for purpose. Is it too much to ask that we can have someone who will actually do something to improve education for teachers and children??
