Every month, local families come together at the Old Kent Road family zone market at Oasis Academy Surrey Square in south London.

It’s a place of welcome, where people join for conversation, friendship and a sense of belonging alongside practical support, including food, clothing and advice.

The family zone is powered by parents, staff, community members and young people, including one former Surrey Square pupil who continues to volunteer long after moving on to secondary school.
