In Parliament this morning, Conservative MP for Gainsborough Sir Edward Leigh, proposed a motion to end imbalances in grammar funding. Exams take place the first week back in September, therefore ‘those that can afford ‘ will use their summer holiday hot housing their child with hours of tutoring to pass the test. Whilst ‘those that can’t afford’ are left to do the test on ability alone. A fair system?
