One company and two individuals charged with running an unregistered school

An organisation and two individuals have been charged with running an unregistered school.

The Al-Istiqamah Learning Centre Limited, based in Ealing in west London, has been charged with conducting an unregistered independent educational institution, contrary to the Education and Skills Act 2008, the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed today.

Nacerdine Talbi, 46, has also been charged with conducting an unregistered independent educational institution, and with liability “as an officer of a body corporate which has committed an offence of conducting an unregistered independent educational institution”.

Maryam Bernhardt, 38, faces charges of conducting an unregistered independent educational institution.

The case had been due before Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, but has been adjourned until July.
